Beautification Committee

The North Canaan Beautification Committee strives to make North Canaan more beautiful through civic engagement and volunteerism. The committee maintains the North Canaan Community Arboretum consisting of over 70 trees as well as 7 town owned gardens and flowerbeds. The committee meets once a year between January and April to report on progress made in the previous year and makes a plan for tasks to be accomplished in the current year. The plan is carried out by committee members and many other volunteers. The North Canaan Beautification Committee strives to make the Town of North Canaan more beautiful every year. If any citizen knows of an area in town that is owned by the town which could be beautified please call 860-824-7313 ext. 183 and leave a message.
