Zoning Board of Appeals

The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) provides a process for property owners to request relief from specific zoning regulations when strict application of the rules would create an unusual hardship. The Board also hears appeals of decisions made by zoning officials.

The ZBA’s role is to ensure that zoning regulations are applied fairly and consistently while considering the unique circumstances of individual properties. The Board does not change zoning laws — it interprets and applies them in accordance with state statutes and local regulations.

Meetings are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend and participate in the process.
